This post is going to be a series of questions with little or no answer.
Working as a software engineer for almost 2 decades and having a variety of work experience from initial learning curve/exp, to mid level engineer, getting burn out because of too much involvement in coding, taking pride with the amount and quality of work and trying to learn various programming languages, to hitting depression towards senior/tech lead level, to taking a sabbatical and getting my energy back, to a place with good work life balance, my life will be void in a year when my child goes to college.
I am sure, people across might have experienced this kind of situation and would like to know what made their life meaningful. I am not depressed (and yes, I do know the reaction when people read this), I am in a decent shape, doing workout at home, weekend biking during summer etc, but I still don’t understand whats next.
Weekend road trips, visiting other places, becoming a tourist. Now, with WFH due to pandemic, we are free to work from anywhere. Where is my life heading ?
As good as it sounds, I’ll be hitting voidness soon.
